Service Descriptions

🚗 Roadside Assistance

RAC Roadside Assistance provides help if your vehicle breaks down while you’re out on the road. Their patrols aim to fix your car at the scene so you can continue your journey as quickly as possible. This service covers common issues like flat tires or battery failures.

🚗 Nationwide Recovery

If your vehicle can’t be repaired at the roadside, RAC’s Nationwide Recovery service will tow your vehicle to a garage or location of your choice anywhere in the UK.

🔄 Unlimited Callouts

There’s no limit on the number of times you can call RAC for assistance during your policy period. This feature provides peace of mind for frequent travelers. However, unlimited callouts do not apply if the breakdown is caused by the same fault that has not been properly repaired.

🏠Home Start

If your vehicle won’t start at your home address or within 1/4 mile of it, the RAC will send a patrol to fix the problem at your doorstep. This means you can avoid the hassle of towing or lengthy delays—getting you back on the road quickly without leaving home.

🚙Onward Travel

If RAC cannot repair your vehicle on the same day as a breakdown, you can choose one of three options to continue your journey:

• A hire car for up to 48 hours, with insurance and collision damage waiver included
• Alternative transport like air, rail, taxi, or public transport, reimbursed up to £150 per person
• One night’s accommodation up to £150 per person

🌍European Multi-Trip Cover

When travelling in Europe, RAC provides roadside assistance in over 49 countries for journeys up to 90 days at a time. This includes repair at the roadside, recovery to a local garage if needed, and contributions towards garage labour and replacement parts. If repairs cannot be completed before your planned return, RAC will arrange to bring your vehicle back to the UK or provide onward travel assistance.
